METHOD
OF APPLICATION |
The wet fastness properties of dyeings obtained with Reactive / Direct Dyes on cellulosic
fibres, particularly, the fastness to water and perspiration can be improved by after treatment with
MAKFIX-C |
|
|
METHODS |
For aftertreatment, only thoroughly rinsed materials should be used in order to prevent precipitation
with anionic wetting and dyeing auxiliaries. After treatment of the dyed or printed materials is carried
out at pH 5.5 -6.5 for 20 minutes at 25 -30 deg C. |
It is useful to rinse briefly with cold water after treatment. |
In wet- on- wet finishing applications, the compatibility of
MAKFIX-C with the product in question
should be tested beforehand. The product is added to the finishing liquor shortly before use. If this
liquor is prepared well in advance, the pH must be increased with soda solution since
MAKFIX-C having a pH of3 -3.5, can adversely affect the life of the finishing baths. |
|
|
APPLICATION QUANTITIES |
Exhaust Method
1- 5% MAKFIX-C (relative to the weight of the goods) |
Padding Method / Finishing
20- 50 g/kg MAKFIX-C |
STRIPPING
If it is necessary to correct faulty
dyeings, MAKFIX-C should be first removed from the goods, This can
prevent unlevelness and poor rub fastness in subsequent redyeing process. |
