PRINTING
Considerable
amount of color staining occurs during
printing of nylon which not only spoils
the tone of the colors but impairs the color
brightness. MAXON-P is
recommended to solve the problem. The MAXON
possesses
affinity both for fibre & dyestuff
& it forms a temporary complex with
the dye which gets washed off. Dye
anions are not allowed to go on to the
fibre because the MAXON-P has
strong affinity for fibre. This mechanism
helps one get bright prints without
staining or discoloration.
METHOD
OF APPLICATION
- Treat printed fabric
with 2-3 gm/lit. of MAXON-P
for 10-50 minutes at room temp. under pH
of 5 to 5.5.
-
Rinse the fabric with water.
-
Wash with 1-2 gm/lit. of Non-ionic
detergent & 0.5 gm/lit. of soda-ash.
Dyeing
- Acid colors have poor
wet fastness for nylon especially with
dark colors. MAXON-P
helps in fixing the colors.
Method or Application
- After the dyestuff in the dyeing bath gets exhausted on the fiber add 2 to 4 gms / lit. lit.
MAXON-P and 2 to 3 gms / lit . 40 % acetic acid in the exhausted dye bath.
- Treat the goods for 30 minutes at
85 -90Deg. C.
Nylon / Wool blends
- During the dyeing of blends nylon
would take up more color than wool
& shade difference would be visible. Incorporation of
MAXON-P
during dyeing ensures uniform shades on
both the fibers. MAXON-P is compatible
with both acid & metal complex dyes.
Method or Application
- Prepare the dye bath as follows :
1 to 3 gm/lit. MAXON-P
I to 2 gm/lit.MAXON-110
0.2to I gm/lit. Ammonium Sulphate
0.1 to 0.5 gm/lit. Trisodikum phosphate
-
Add dye solution, raise bath tem. To
boil.
-
Dye a boiling temp for 40 -60 minutes.
